I’m Maddie (Madeline) Taylor, owner of Knot Now, Not Later.
My pronouns are she/her- I identify as a lesbian. I am neurodivergent-I have a diagnosis of ADHD & PTSD (self-diagnosed as AuDHD). September 28th, 2025, marks my 1st year of sobriety from Caffeine, Nicotine, Alcohol, and Recreational Drugs. I advocate for mental health therapies along with physical health therapies. I am an Ohio ex pat; I love living in Pittsburgh and I am happy to be growing roots here. I enjoy exploring different parts of the city: the neighborhoods, museums, food, cultures, city pools, and parks. I live with my partner, Jess, of 3 years and our 2 dogs Peach & Bagel in the North Hills. I enjoy being on wheels- whether that's adult go-karting, roller skating with Pittsburgh Sk8 Collaborative, or soon to be on my motorcycle. I spend my days doing yoga, listening and singing to music, getting tattoos, drinking mocktails, eating good food, playing games (arcades, board games, video games), and spending quality time with my people.
I hold dual undergraduate degrees; a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services. I was nominated Top 5 Best Massage Therapists of Pittsburgh 2023, awarded 3rd Best Woman-Owned Business of Pittsburgh 2024, Top 5 Best LGBTQIA Entrepreneur, & 3rd Best Massage Therapists of Pittsburgh 2025 by the Pittsburgh City Paper's Best of PGH Readers Poll. I hold a Certificate from Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy and I am Licensed through the state of Pennsylvania. I have massaged at a corporate chain, chiropractor's practice, day spa, and a dual massage & acupuncture clinic.
I truly love being a massage therapist; I plan on being in this field until my body gives out at an old age. I have also enjoyed owning Knot Now, Not Later; the freedom to be myself and have my business stand for and support causes close to me means the world. Specifically with being able to donate massages to raise money and awareness for Suicide Prevention, SisTers PGH, the Millvale Community, and many others. Also, on the 1st Monday of every month I will be offering community massage night along with other professional Acupuncturists and Reiki practitioners. These community nights happen twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays at the Irma Freeman Center in Bloomfield.
I am living my dream! I enjoy going to work every day to help people feel better. Helping others feel better is more than just physical; the way I work on the body is with the mental, emotional, physical, and energy being part of the therapy plan. The main physical goal for every massage session is to help the client's body get back into a homeostasis state by encouraging the body to be in proper anatomical resting position. I want each client to come as they are, knowing my space is a safe space from the outside world, free of any judgment.
I am an ever-evolving human in general and with my massage practice; I love taking continuing education courses and putting that knowledge to use in session. I promise to never give cookie cutter massages, to listen to your needs, meet you where you are, and give you my very best every session.
If we happen to not mesh for any reason: personalities, modalities, location, accessibility, etc. I am more than willing to give referrals to other massage therapists/bodyworkers/therapists as I would rather assist you on continuing your healing journey. Getting you the bodywork you need is more important than any dollar I'll make.
Thank you so much for trusting me to be part of your healing team. I am honored to live life along each of you.
