About Me

I’m Maddie Taylor, owner of Knot Now, Not Later.

Massage is my passion! I enjoy working with my clients to ensure their safety and comfort for every session. By valuing your input, together, we are able to create a solid plan for how to best facilitate the release of tension and relieve pain or discomfort.

My current specialties are Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Release, although I’m always growing my skills. I enjoy learning through every session to continue mastering my skills. In the short term, my goal is to become certified as a Myofascial Specialist. My long-term goal is to take courses on Trauma Informed Massage to help me further assist clients who have experienced life-altering situations which have resulted in trauma being stored in the mind and body. 

I was nominated Top 5 Best Massage Therapists of Pittsburgh 2023 and awarded Top 3 Best Woman-Owned Business of Pittsburgh 2024 by Pittsburgh City Paper's Best of PGH Readers Poll. I hold a Certificate from Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy and I am Licensed through the state of Pennsylvania. I also hold dual undergraduate degrees; a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services.

I enjoy playing and snuggling with my fur baby, Peach, but the easiest way to make my day is to take me to adult go-karting! My friends say I must have been a racecar driver in another life. Apparently, I have a thing for being on wheels, because this year I picked up roller-skating. I’ve been conquering my fears by learning new techniques through the awesome community of the Pittsburgh Sk8 Collaborative. Speaking of getting connected with communities, I made it a goal of mine this year to get more involved with LGBTQIA2S+ groups. I’ve been able to participate in a few events and even made a few friends along the way. As always, I truly enjoy hanging out with my friends; going to arcades, getting a mocktail, eating some tasty food (maybe some sour gummies), and just having genuine connection.

I have been able to experience over 5 years in this city. I’m ready to explore more of Pittsburgh and I am happy to put down roots with my business amongst the three rivers. So, thank you for being here and booking with me.
